Stoughton Clock Tower

Founded in 1847, the City of Stoughton is known for its annual Syttende Mai Celebration in May as well as being the birthplace of the coffee break. Stoughton is also the world headquarters of several world class international companies as well as being the birthplace of community television with the oldest operating community cable channel in the country, WSTO TV.

Stoughton is also fortunate to have a world class, local hospital, Stoughton Health, excellent city services and a beautiful, historic opera house and clock tower.

Stoughton's Arts and Entertainment district boast a wide assortment of artists and art shops as well as our beautifully restored Stoughton Opera House located in the historic old city hall building. The Stoughton Opera House is one of the few remaining second story theaters in the Midwest  and Southern Wisconsin's Most Charming Theater
