Stoughton Area Assistance Programs

There are a lot of assistance programs in Stoughton.

Stoughton Area Senior Center
The Stoughton Area Senior Center can assist with a wide range of issues for adults 55 and older.

Stoughton Area Resource Team (START)
The Stoughton Area Resource Team, Inc. (START) provides a safety net for those in crisis. It links Stoughton residents under age 55 with community resources, offers advocacy, and provides support in housing, utilities, transportation, health and employment. Case management is offered as well as short term financial assistance when appropriate.

City of Stoughton Food Pantry
The City of Stoughton Food Pantry serves clients residing within the Stoughton Area School District. The Food Pantry follows state and federal guidelines on income levels to qualify for The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) or commodities distribution. If a resident is not eligible under the income guidelines, emergency food is available upon referral.

Stoughton United Methodist Church Food Pantry
Our Mission is to provide food for the hungry, knowledge and resources to implement healthy eating and living as well as an opportunity for social interaction and trust.

Personal Essentials Pantry
As we seek to engage and meet needs in the world around us, we’ve learned that families are able to supplement their groceries at area food pantries and, in some cases, through Food Stamp benefits. However, few resources exist for assistance with non-food essentials: household and personal products.

Joining Forces for Families (JFF)
Joining Forces for Families marshals the combined talents and resources of the Dane County Human Services Department, local and county law enforcement agencies, school districts, local and county public health departments, United Way, and neighborhood groups and residents. In various capacities, these groups are working together to ensure the success of children, youth and families in school, home and community
